Author and Page information
THE HUNGRY follows Tulsi Joshi, a widow and bride to be who comes to her own wedding seeking revenge for the brutal murder of her first born son. Based on Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus, THE HUNGRY is about the violence that exists between power and love - a macabre fairytale set in the elite circles of north India. Synopsis: A very hungry caterpillar emerges from an egg and spends an entire week feasting on all kinds of foods, including strawberries, a lollipop, and a piece of pie. As he eats through each food, he also eats holes in the book big enough for little fingers to fit through. At then end of the week he’s a very full caterpillar with a bellyache. The Very Hungry Caterpillar. What even is this book. I mean, yes, it’s about a very hungry caterpillar. He’s so damn hungry, he eats, like, the whole world, and then gets really big and turns into a butterfly the end. But let’s look more closely at this seemingly innocuous children’s classic.
